I love to paint in watercolors and I believe that art can bring happiness to those who love art. I paint still lifes and landscapes and my subjects vary, but usually reflect what I enjoy and things in my life around me.

For the past 25 years I have pursuing my passion for painting. I like to paint subjects that speak to me, subjects that allow me to capture moments in time. I take those moment and transform them into a watercolor paintings. Whether it be flowers, a still life, a landscape, a portrait of my husband, my son ,or my cat, my paintings reflect my life.

 

I have been inspired by some of the great master painters like Monet, John Sargent Singer, and Andrew Wyeth, but a lot of my inspiration has come from local and national artists that I have had the privilege to paint with and learn from. Mostly, my inspiration has come from God, who has provided me with many blessings and gifts. As I continue to learn and create, and I believe that we never stop learning, I remember what Pablo Picasso once said : " There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who, thanks to art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun."
